Do I still give an ex-acquaintance a birthday gift?

To make a long story short, I've lost a lot of respect and trust for an acquaintance. Unfortunately, this tiff happened after I told "this person" I was getting them a birthday gift. Instead of being sincere and apologetic, they use other means to justify being narcissistic, a hypocrite, and place double-standards, just an all around . However, just because "this person' is this way, doesn't mean I have to change who I am or my kindness for people...but I am highly reconsidering not giving this gift at all. Personally I don't think this person earned it or deserves it. But karma is weighing on my mind if I don't follow through. What would you do?
