As a Christian, do you think we as US citizens should be able to vote on the legality of abortions?

This is a very touchy subject, and I am sure most people could easily find arguments to justify both sides of the issue. Personally I am against abortion. On one side I feel that part of a responsible society entails protecting those who cannot protect themselves. Based on this, I say yes, let's vote. On the other hand, I feel this is also a moral issue, and for that reason it should be up to the person to decide. At the end, the most important aspect of this issue, should be preventing unwanted pregnancies in the first place, and in order to do this, we need to start educating children from a very early age about the importance of taking responsibility for their actions and all its consequences. Only by doing this, could we diminish unwanted pregnancies, and acts.
